This is a Factory 12 gauge gun magazine. I still would guess the Savage is an overall more solid trainer than the Marlin, but I am admittedly biased. A fyi, the shells worked fine, recovered one slug, it had mushroomed great on one side the other was flat, it hit the shoulder, passed thru and embedded on the far side cavity, at around 100 yds. always liked 12. drops every deer right on the spot. In my opinion, there's no reason the lug around a 12. The issue was not ejecting the spent shell, take the shot pull shell and it would drop off in the mag well and have to be removed by hand, all my savages suffered this same issue, now the shell pulls out and gets thrown clear of the chamber.
